One of the functions History serves is to provide perspective. Since my cancer diagnosis I have found a new interest in History. In particular what I have come to realize is how much of what we perceive as of concern with Trump in office is really just the realization he is not so different from all the others. From at least the 60s to now, we’ve been sold a bill of goods, yet to be realized, again and again. Abortion rights, voting rights, environmental Justice, right to privacy, right to Healthcare, ERA, guns, no Wars. We keep rehashing the same old things. When is the Myth of America going to become reality?
this is why the idea we have a Democratic system is way off the mark. I’m pretty sure McConnell is more interested in looking pockets than working to deal with the our issue which in Kentucky is epedimic.
